Volunteer Programme

If you would like to get involved in Victorian Nights, why not consider volunteering at the events?  Volunteering is a great way to be part of the festival, and to:

  • Meet new people and have fun
  • Take part in a brand new festival
  • Develop or share your skills
  • Gain unique work experience
  • Try something new
We are able to pay most volunteer travel expenses.  Please get in touch if you’re interested – we couldn’t do it without you!
Events Team
We are looking for volunteers to talk to visitors about their experience of the festival, keep track of visitor numbers to events, and help promote Victorian Nights by encouraging people to visit lots of events.  We are looking for 2 people to help at each of the 12 events.

This role would suit people who are:

  • Confident to talk to visitors
  • Available on either Friday 18, Saturday 19 or Sunday 20 May 2012

Victorian Nights Evaluation Assistant

We are also looking for a volunteer to help us evaluate the festival, which will help us plan for the future.  The evaluation will also be sent to the Heritage Lottery Fund as part of our final funding report, so this is an opportunity to get experience evaluating a real-life project.

This role would suit people who are:

  • Able to use Microsoft Office, including Excel
  • Able to analyse data on Excel spreadsheets
  • Able to work from home on a laptop/desktop

How do I become a Victorian Nights volunteer?

  1. Great Idea to have a ‘Victorian Nights’ festival, and planned events look good so far. Like the Website too. I think it’s well written (I’m a local Copywriter and Web-Editor from Holt) well designed, and easy to track. Well done! I’m also volunteering for the Blogging Volunteer Programme, too, as I run the ‘Write2Profit’ Writer’s Website, and would love to help with blogging the Victorian nights news.
Keep up the great work! Andy Gage.
