Lots of people have told us that they are going to come to our events dressed in Victorian costumes.  That’s brilliant!   Here are some tips for getting that wonderful Victorian look:

Victorian Girl

• Long dark skirt
• White blouse
• Mop cap or straw hat       
• Pinafore
• Shawl
• Apron
• Dark socks and shoes

Victorian Boy

• White shirt
• Dark trousers
• Waistcoat
• Plain jumper
• Flat cap
• Dark shoes
• Scarf

Victorian Lady

• Long sleeved blouse with high neckline
• Ankle length skirt
• Corset
• Straw hat or bonnet
• Cape
• Gloves
• Simple ‘up’ hair style e.g. a bun
• Simple jewellery e.g. brooch, earrings            

Victorian Gentleman

• White shirt
• Jacket
• Dark trousers
• Cravat or bow tie
• Top hat
• Dark shoes
• Simple cufflinks
