Victorian Nights is a brand new festival in North Norfolk, designed to entertain, amaze, delight and inspire. It will take place from Friday 18 – Sunday 20 May 2012.
The festival is part of Museums at Night, the annual after-hours celebration of arts, history and heritage, which is co-ordinated by the lovely people of Culture 24, a not-for-profit online publisher, working across the arts, heritage, education and tourism sectors.
The festival, which has been funded by a generous grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund and financial support from North Norfolk District Council and Norfolk Museums and Archaeology Service, will bring exciting, free, Victorian-themed events to the beautiful seaside towns of Cromer, Sheringham and Wells-next-the-Sea. Look out for costumed characters, films, workshops, a steam train ride, a photographic parlour, circus acts, guided walks, escapologists, fire eaters, and more besides! Most events are drop-in, but some are pre-bookable. Please see our events page for more details. Bookings are now open. You can download a copy of our events leaflet here.
If you would like to come to the events dressed in Victorian costume – this is not compulsory! – please check out our guide to creating a great Victorian look.
Our volunteer blogging team are creating and updating a fabulous blog all about Victorian Nights. You can visit it here.
If you have any suggestions or questions, please do leave comments. We’d love to hear from you.
